Vj and visual artist.
I've started doing live visuals in 2005 as a natural evolution of my
artistic investigations and interests, after painting, drawing,
photography. I love the trill of live performance which I don't get in
the other artistic fields, it's also a perfect way to mix different
techniques and having each time a different result.
My visuals are evolving compositions, audio-reactive, created live and flowing with the crowd and the music.
All elements are self-produced, mixing different techniques, as hand-drawn animations, vectorial drawings and drawings, typography, photography and videos.
They vary from abstract, graphical, bright coloured, simple animations to Live Cinema
expressing a deeper side of my concerns as immigration, urbanisation,
politics, psychology, and emotions using a visual language made of text,
videos, graphics looped and layered.
Since 2010, I collaborate with Diarmo, a dj/producer based in London for audiovisual live performance, music videos, art work for the label he runs, Basilar Records.
We adapted the music and the visuals depending on the event, the
public, the space. Diarmo can play live sets with his own tracks or dj
sets mixing seamlessly techno, house, bass.
I've collaborate with the producers all based in Barcelona, Fernando Lagreca, E mc2, Manintheattic for "live video narrations", live visuals and music videos.
I played in several festivals, events, to name a few, in London: Futurist 47, Plug Me In, Rubik's cube, Cinema Varieté; in Spain: Festival In Pulse (Caceres, Spain), Mostra Sonora i Visual (Barcelona), Festival Femelek (Barcelona), Festival Escena Poblenou, Electronic conferences (Barcelona). Some of my videos were also presented in festivals and exhibitions. Festival Vertical (Spain), Mostra Arte Digital at Caixa Forum (Barcelona), Festival Internacional de la Imagen (Colombia).
